First Visit Experience

So, you've looked through our website and are wanting to come to one of our meetings. Awesome! We're excited for you to come. The following is a brief description of what you might experience during your first visit. We understand it can be a nerve-wracking and exciting. But, the biggest thing to keep in mind is to ask questions. Because we are a composite squadron, you will find that we have both youth (cadets) and adult (senior members) members. Depending on which one you are, here is what you can expect to see happen:

  • Members arriving and fellowship.

  • At 1830, cadets will be called into opening formation.

  • Squadron Commander will address the squadron at large

  • Joint activities and announcements will be held.

  • Newcomers will be assigned a meeting time to meet with the squadron's administrative officer.

Most cadets will be in uniform based on the week of the month. The first meeting of the month usually involves promotions and awards - most cadets and senior members will be in service uniforms also known as blues. We call this the Uniform of the Day, or "UOD" for short.

Please don't be afraid to introduce yourself and ask questions; we want you to feel comfortable and excited to join us.

Personnel you want to seek during your first meeting:

  • Squadron Commander: 1st Lt Austin Zoutis, CAP | email

  • Deputy Commander for Cadets: 2nd Lt Edward Kwak, CAP | email

If you are interested in joining, please contact us so that we can best prepare for your visit.
